Commitment: kəˈmɪtm(ə)nt/noun: is the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc.
With that clear definition, commitment happens to be one of the hardest things in life for most people to do. One may have good intentions to fully commit to doing something, until hesitancy sets in. No wonder Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said: “Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. The moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.”
How does that statement apply to your life and your commitment to just about anything in life?
As we gear up to begin our newest project – #Mission52 – you’ll find these statements to be truer than ever, especially this next one:
“Have no fear of perfection – you’ll never reach it.” – Salvador Dali.
In other words, don’t delay in pursuing your goals and dreams. Give yourself the reward of living life to the fullest extent possible, now. The present is all there is. Don’t wait either, until you achieve your goals or complete a task perfectly to allow yourself one of these rewards.
The worst thing you could do is let go of dreams you could have achieved and lived a much more satisfying life than the one you’ve had, because of lack of commitment on your part, as regards the ONE dream you always hoped to realize. Believe me; do it; just do it! Just go ahead and invest in your dream NOW by registering to partake in #Mission52 (via email) and let’s get you that started. If you follow the three of the habits of highly effective people (as featured in the #MotivationMonday article of this week), nothing will stop you. But you can’t get there if you keep coming up with excuses for why your BIGGEST dream can’t be a reality. The limitations exist in your mind and only have the power YOU give them.
Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Dear phenomenal person reading this, you are NOT what you have done, what has been done to you, or all the negative things anyone else says, has said to or about you. You are who God says you are. You can do what God says you can do. And you can be who God says you can be! In other words, YOU ARE POSSIBLE! And that’s the truth. Do you believe that?
So today, make what God has done for you bigger than what anyone has done or said to about you. Do not let fear of imperfection deter you from giving your all to whatever you desire to achieve in life. Begin NOW, today!
Truth is; Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
So here’s something I shared with phenomenal ladies on our Whatsapp Women’s Network called the #IAmPossile Circle:
“Hello ladies. It’s #TruthThursday and the truth TODAY is; you can’t keep making excuses for anything anymore, especially not about achieving your dreams because it’s all been used. So get up and make a demand on what’s YOURS!!
No more excuses
The day Zacchaeus climbed the tree, short people lost their right to use HEIGHT as an excuse.
The day David killed Goliath, young people lost their right to use AGE as an excuse.
The day Joseph became Prime Minister, illegal immigrants lost their right to use STATUS as an excuse.
The day the woman with the issue of blood used her last strength to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, weak people lost their right to use WEAKNESS as an excuse.
The day the widow made her last offering, poor people lost their right to use POVERTY as an excuse.
The day Daniel met the lions in the den, phobic people lost their right to use fear of DEATH as an excuse.
The day grace came through Christ, the “LOST” lost their right to use SIN as their excuse.
NO MORE EXCUSES!”
Whatever your current situation with commitment, rememer; you’ve got this and God’s got you! #YouArePossible #IAmPossible #LetsBePossibleTogether
